Why recycle your electronics?
Most of the 2 million tons of old electronics discarded annually by Americans goes to U.S. Landfills, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency data. Electronix Redux diverts electronic waste (e-Waste) from entering our main waste stream, which would ultimately be dumped in a landfill. The diverted electronics are either de-manufactured (taken apart) and processed to be turned back into raw materials for use in manufacturing new products or are refurbished for use by a new owner. Only through the efforts of consumers, businesses and government can we become a greener planet. Our mission is to join you in that goal.
What is the difference between recycling and reuse?
Reuse is a function of recycling and is always emphasized in the disposition process. There are numerous considerations that are reviewed when determining the reusability of an item including; customer requirements, identifying any data destruction risks and processing requirements, condition, demand and hazardous material content. After successfully meeting all of the reuse requirements and conditions, items are tested extensively to assure a long lasting second life.
